She initially told Garland County sheriff's investigators her husband,  James Stevens, 51, accidentally shot himself in the leg during a fight  between the two inside their home. 

 She said her husband was drunk and had assaulted her and was brandishing a gun. He tucked the gun into his pants at one point and  fired it into his leg. 

 The medical examiner in Little Rock determined the bullet had entered  Stevens in his left buttocks and exited in a straight line out of his left thigh. 

 The bullet severed his femoral artery causing Stevens to bleed to death. The path of the bullet indicated his leg was raised at the time as if running. 

 Further ballistics evidence indicated the shot was fired from at least  two feet away and was not consistent with a self-inflicted wound. 

 Confronted with the new evidence, Clara Stevens reportedly admitted she had shot her husband, but said it was accidental and happened when he was attacking her. 

 She was arrested three days after the shooting and charged with murder. She could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.  She later was released on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to stand trial March 23. 
 
 

What this tells me is that her attorney is going to try and get her first statement thrown out as being inadmissible. 
Because she was not yet under arrest. Now I ask you is that justice? Why do we allow these things to go on? She killed him and in my opinion was driving the body out to dump it. Not to take him to the hospital. 

She got caught and she came up with a crazy story, and once that was proven wrong she comes up with another crazy story. And now her attorney wants to throw that first statement out because he knows it shows her real motive. 

I guess it's not enough to kill the man, she has to slander him with lies. And to rub salt in the wounds of the family even further the judge lets her out on a $5,000 bail. And now her attorney is trying to get her first statement ( lie ) thrown out. 

Where is the justice?? 
 
 

She says :"Her husband had been drinking, she said, and had assaulted her. When she ran out of 
the room, he apparently tried to tuck the gun into his waistband and fired it into his leg by 
mistake" 

I say: If he shot himself by tucking the gun into his waistband then why did the gun shot enter his 
buttocks and evidence shows that his leg was bent at the time, as it would if he had been running 
away, and was shot from behind. 

She says: She helped her husband to the car to drive him to a hospital more than 40 miles away. 

I say: Why does the evidence show that he was dragged to the car? And why would he be 
laying in the floorboard with is face down on the seat? 

She says: she claims she was following her husband's instructions when she tried to drive him to 
a hospital. 

I say: The evidence shows that he died before he was taken from the house. 

She says: She could not call 911 because their phone was ripped from the wall. So she tried to 
drive him to the hospital 40 miles away. 

I say: Why did she not go to her neighbors homes ( who had already heard the gun shot ) and 
use their phone? And why did she take the time to hide guns while her husband bled to death? 

  After being arrested and finding out that her first story was not matching up with the medical examiners report she starts in with another version of the story.

 She say's: She was defending her self from him. 

I say: If that is true then why was he shot from behind in a position in which his leg was lifted as if he was running away from the gun? 
And why the first story about him shooting himself? 
Is she just changing the story to fit the facts?? 

It has been said that Annette was not alone when she dragged the lifeless body of Jimmy Dale to their car. It has also been said that she had no intent on driving him to a hospital. But instead driving the body out somewhere to get rid of. Because the route she was taken was not the route to the hospital. 

Now there has been a leak that Jimmy Dale's body was wrapped up in a tarp of some sort. 
There has also been a rumor that there was a friend of Annette's there at the time of the shooting, and that the person left after he was shot. 
There also has been leaks through family and friends that she is offering money and/or land/property from the estate in exchange for false testimony on her behalf. 

Chief Deputy Prosecutor Terri Harris: "Her explanation of what happened is inconsistent with the physical evidence and the forensic evidence," The angle of the bullet suggests Jim 
Stevens had his leg bent and was walking or running away. And the evidence shows the gunshot was fired from 
some distance away, "possibly up to six feet,"  These details don't square  with the way Annette Stevens described the accident the idea that Annette shot her  husband as he prepared to shoot her in a drunken rage is not plausible either. The evidence _ including the angle of the bullet wound and the  likely distance the bullet traveled _ is "highly inconsistent with  self-defense,"  I've  seen photos of Annette Stevens' wounds taken on the night of the shooting, but thought most of them looked like injuries suffered in the car accident. 
( She had crashed the car with the body of her husband
inside while as she said she was going to the hospital Although the road she was on was not the one that lead to the hospital )

Question: Has she ever attack Jimmy Dale? 
Answer: Yes! 
She has been known to pulled guns on him in the past, and once she even stabbed him. And bragged about it.

We have learn from good sources that Clara has been pulled over by the police in Garland Co and Hotsprings for traffic violation's since she murdered Jim. And she has been hanging out in local bars and been seen shooting pool and drinking with men. 
She has also sold Jimmy Dale's boat and has claim that someone broke into her garage and stole all of Jimmy Dale's ladders and tool's. She has also with dawned their back account. 

She was allowed to go to the funeral in Ohio, and while she was there I myself witness her running around the parking lot and greeting her friends like it was a block party. She was wearing no wedding ring, and stayed for about 1/2 hour. While there she reached into her purse to get an ink pen and pulled out enough cash to choke a horse. Before getting in a car with a friend and speeding off while smiling and waving.
